The World Logging Championship 2023 is taking place on 19th till 22nd of April in Tartu. The farthest participating country is Japan.
PEFC – certified wood is used in the competition. The teams also plant trees from a PEFC certified forest. This is a clear message that forests must be managed sustainably.
Estonia is a Northern European country with 1.3 million inhabitants. Every 10th person works in the sector related to wood and forest.
PEFC is the world`s largest sustainable forestry label and forestry verifier.
